The 14 annual EpiscoGolf Tournament, sponsored by the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, Sanbornville, was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Province Lake Golf Club, Parsonsfield, ME. (three of the holes are at least partially in is New Hampshire). The event is held to raise funds for local community and worldwide youth-related activities. The tournament is a dream fulfillment of the late Rev. Dr. Douglas MacDonald, Rector of St. John the Baptist. Sponsors, over the years, have been very generous in their support and continued to do so this year.

We had 98 golfers playing and enjoying themselves as nature, and prayer, provided good weather. The day concluded with a wonderful beef tips and fish dinner, enjoyed by golfers and non-playing guests. All of this fun and golfing competition raised $3,200 for youth activities. Thanks to the Province Lake Golf staff, and especially Carol and Dave Porter, owners, for a wonderful event. So much of the coordination and help came from their manager Wayne Grenier.
