Requests for Prayers - St. John the Baptist Parishes Order of the Daughters of the King offers daily prayer for those in need. Cards to place people's name for that ministry are located in the pews. Prayer will be offered up for people for a one month period, both during the weekly Eucharistic liturgies, as well as daily by the members of the Daughters of the King. After one month the request will need to be resubmitted for continued placement on the list.
Save those can tab tops!!! In memory of Russell Thompson we are still collecting tab pull tops from soda cans for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Save up your tab tops and bring them in to either the Church Office to Sunday worship. Many thanks!!
Do you know of any businesses, or individuals,
who might donate items or services
for the Calico Fair Silent Auction?
I’d like to thank everyone who helped with last year’s Silent Auction, and I’m hoping that this year will be just as successful!
So if you know of anyone, please contact Novella Dionne (603) 859-3890. If she doesn’t answer, please leave a message on the machine. Or call the church office at (603) 522-3329.
Our Calico Fair ~ July 31st
An antique is a gift, a treasure that will be sure to please. You might have one. Check your attic. Look on that back shelf. Remember that long-forgotten treasure you tucked away on that shelf. We welcome your gifts. Please call Joanna or Rich Cotter at 522-2093.

Vacation Bible School, August 2 ~ 6, 2010
We’re looking for volunteers who’d like to help us out with this fun experience for kids. We need teachers, floaters (who can help out in any area), crafts people, musicians, skit directors, etc. We also need kids who are in grades 7 & 8 who’d like to participate as guides (taking the classes from room to room)! I’ve begun contacting people who helped out the last few years, but I’d like to invite anyone who hasn’t had the joy of bringing Christ to the children to join us for this great opportunity. Give me a call at 522-3189 or drop me an email at fccwakefieldce@yahoo.com if you’d like to participate and I haven’t already talked to you.
